Laz Izada A native from Cuba, that grew up in and currently resides in Miami, Fl is a boxing fan turned writer.

He works covering boxing press conferences, boxing events in the South Florida area and writing about upcoming televised bouts and results.

Laz which holds a bachelors degree in Sports Administration from ST.Thomas University in Miami fell in love with the fight game after watching Sugar Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns first classic match-up in 1981.

Laz which has been working for the Longshoremen's Union at the Port of Miami as a clerk since 1994, and his wife Soraya are involved in helping out St.Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Make A Wish Foundation of South Florida. He can be reached at lazlocalboxing@aol.com.
