Scott's Bio

I am the program director and sports director for a radio station in Canada and the host of a weekly sports call in show. Most of all I am just a huge sports fanatic. I may not be the one painted in my favorite teams colors, but I will be the one cheering them on whether times are good or bad.

I am married to the MOST wonderful woman in the world! Plus she loves sports! What more can you ask for!

I like to give the benefit of the doubt in every circumstance(where possible) and I will give credit where credit is due. I welcome your thoughts and comments, but make sure they are well thought out with good reasoning. If you are just going to disagree and spout insults, don't expect a response.

I love Hockey and football the most, but I do enjoy watching almost every sport, and have a good understanding of what's going on in the sporting world.

  1. Hey, do you think you will be contributing an article for this months edition of the magazine.

  2. No problem man. We have increased the amount of authors by about 5 for this edition so it is not vital for everyone to submit an article. If you do have time I will definetly include it though.

    Thanks
    Jon

  3. Hey Scott,

Will you be submitting an article for this months edition of "Fans of the CFL"

  4. Attention Writers of Fans of the CFL

It is around that time again when writers should be planning or starting to write their articles for the second issue. If you are planning to have an article included in the second issue, please send me an email with your idea at roughriderfreek@hotmail.com, or post a note on my board.

I hope to publish the second issue early September, so if articles could come in early next week or a bit later that would be good.

Also, I noticed there was some free space in the first issue of the magazine, so I think I’ll put some advertisements in there. If any of you have a site that you run, or a sports column your write on another site and would like to place an add about it in the magazine (free of charge) just let me know.

    Thanks
    Jon

  5. Attention Writers of "Fans of the CFL"

Once again, congratulations to everyone on the first issue. The feedback was positive and people were definetly interested in what we had to offer. Though it is too early to think about the next issue, just a couple of things for you to think about:

First of all, "Fans of the CFL" has teamed up with The Canadian Football Report (a site run by Giants 27). I have sent you all invitiations to write on the CFL Report (if you didn't get an email its cause I don't know your address!). The CFL Report will serve as a place where we can post articles in between issues of "Fans of the CFL". There is no pressure to post, but if you write an article about the CFL and have some time, post it on The Canadian Football Report.

If you have any ideas for an article you would like to write, or one you have written that you'd like me to use in the next issue, you can let me know in the next couple of weeks. If articles could start coming in around August 24th-29th that would be good.

Lastly, if you know anyone that would be interested in writing for "fans of the CFL", or just interested in reading it, tell them to email me at roughriderfreek@hotmail.com

    Thanks
    Jon

  6. This is a serious and useful article hope you enjoy it

  7. Hey Scott,

"Fans of the CFL" is online. Their is an annoucement about it on the CFL Page. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/229235-extra-extra-the-first-ever-issue-of-fans-of-the-cfl-has-arrived?just_published=1

  8. Just so everyone knows... anyone who is planning to have an article in the first issue of the CFL magazine should have their articles in some time next week or early the next week at the latest. Just type the articles out on word and send them to roughriderfreek@hotmail.com. I will be turning the articles into pdfs and displaying them on the web. You don't need to put pictures in your articles.

  9. A column or editorial would be great. I am hoping to publish in early August, so any time in the next two week would be good. The sooner I get them in the better i guess.

  10. Awesome. I am just finishing rounding up writers, and I was thinking about putting out an issue sometime early in August if possible. Do you have an idea of what article you could write? Some examples would be, a player profile, recap of the month...

  11. Hey Scott,

I'm not sure if you have time or not, but I'm looking at creating a sort of CFL Magazine that would come out once a month. It would be displayed online. Would you be interested in contributing one article a month on the CFL for the magazine?

  12. Hey Scott,

I try to rank the CFL's rookies in my latest:

  13. No problem Scott, just glad I can help.

  14. Hey,
