I came to Bleacher Report after a stint in both sports radio and as a sports writer in the Pittsburgh area.
While I still work part-time in the newspaper business, I accepted a paid position with Bleacher Report in 2011 covering college football. I've since moved on as a paid NBA writer, one of my biggest passions.
I'm very passionate about the New York Knicks, but love to cover the NBA in general. I also love to cover the NBA Draft and have always done a lot of work regarding the guys ready to come into the NBA.
In addition to my writing for Bleacher report, I host three pocasts and dabble in other areas of the sports media.
Getting paid to express your opinion about the game that you love, well there's no better job in the world.

cant believe you never tried to back up your opinion about paul pierce.....kinda lame
Fatty Matt, I found Michael Keefe got more stupid than you, he's suggesting JKidd, Fisher to replace JLin (if Lin bolts), Nash at about their ages, but absolutely better than these 2 soon to be retired slowpokes.
Hey Matt
I'm a huge fan and love your writing. Bleacherreport, especially your writing, has inspired me to start writing about sports. I considered signing up for bleacherreport but instead decided to try to make my own website. http://bustasports.com/ is the link, and it would mean a ton if you checked it out and gave me some feedback. Feel free to give me positive or negative feedback, either way it means a lot. You can post on my profile or email me at lmssports@hotmail.com
I also have a couple questions, so do you have a personal email I can reach you at?
Thanks a lot and a reply would be huge for me.
Another out of shape, stupid writer, Your articles stupid! I bet this fatty cannot run a single mile non-stop.
YOUR A JEREMY LIN HATER AND YOUR ARTICLES SUCK!
"NBA Draft 2012: Projections for Thomas Robinson and Final Four's Top Stars" was by far the worst basketball related article i have read in BR so far. congratulations.
WOW. That guy obviously didn't read the stories Matt wrote about Lin becoming an NBA star and the perfect fit as Knicks PG. All Matt did in the article in question is point out that Lin was running D'Antoni's system and they were winning with Melo out. There were always questions about Melo fitting in to D'Antoni's system and it looked like at the time that Lin was extending Coach D's Knicks career; which would have been bad for Melo. I fail to see how that is racism.
LOL oh man that's an angry Jeremy Lin fan right there. I'm guessing they don't go to Bible study together. Gotta love a guy issuing charges of "racism" while wishing auto-accidents in the same breath. What do I gotta do to get this kind of hate mail! ;-)
Hey bro, can I get your opinion on my new piece?

Thank you for your time.
The Lakers NEED a PG and a Shooter. Their bench is weak and stagnant. They also have few chips to play with. What do you think of the Lakers sending Barnes (Starting SF), Blake, Caracter, and Odom's Trade Exemption to Toronto for Barbosa, Bayless, Kleiza, and Alabi? The Lakers would now have a PG (ANYONE but Fish! Great guy, but, well, it's Fish!), a couple of guys who could shoot, and a Project. Toronto would gain Barnes' tough D and hustle, Blake (Vet leadership?), a Project, and a good Trade Exemption.
