Hey, Allan. Only just seen your response to the rookies slideshow—notifications don't pop up for me when a comment is left on the back end (don't know if that's exclusive to me). Either way, you're more than welcome! Definitely agree with that about the Hawks—though I'm quite pleased for Van Riemsdyk that he went someway toward atoning for that awful error in Game 4 with his goal the other night. Fixing to be a great end to the series either way—perhaps even worth staying up over here for the 1:30 a.m. start!
Alan - Crosby is the most talented player of this century? Being a fan is one thing, but reality has to be considered. Sid is not even the most talented player on his own team. There's a 19 year old kid in the league right now who is light years more talented. Kane is far more gifted as a player. Crosby is a power forward who rarely faces obstruction or physical contact in the new rule era. He's a great player however no where near the most talented.
Would have been cool if u mentioned tobias reider was also a former oiler draft pick in your story on oddest line combinations
I feel like you only put Jack Eichel in there for show, I don't know how you can place 2 players on this list who's team didn't even make the medal round and neglect to put in Max Domi.
Allan your lack of hockey knowledge becomes only more obvious with every show you do, time to pass the torch to Connor who has an educated and thought out perspective.
When you refused to want to trade Hemsky at the trade deadline just to "stick it to the other GM's" is just childish.
Your most current article re: 10 trades this offseason. While I do like acquiring Couturier, we can not be giving up the potential 2nd overall pick this season in Ekblad.
Furthermore, how do you possibly justify Gagner being worth Upshall AND a 2nd? He's not worth a 2nd by himself, hence why the Oilers couldn't trade him at the deadline
Pretty good start mate, keep 'em coming and getting better.
