I'm a life long Notre Dame football fan. I've also been a Philadelphia Flyers fan since I was a kid. In the mid-eighties I was lucky enough to be stationed in Philly while in the Navy and have to say the Philly fans get a bad rap. They are just ultra-passionate about their teams. When I was a kid living close to NYC, I had to watch the unbearable Jets and Giants games. When I had a chance to see the Browns play, it always looked like the field was in terrible shape, but I thought that's how football should be played. I've been fortunate enough to attend a few games in Cleveland and must say the Browns fans are excellent. In baseball - it's anyone except the Yankees.
Dear Matthew: Just wanted to say thanks for "faving" me. Is that a verb these days?
Agree about Philly fans - if you are there, they are great. If you have to play there against them - not so much. But I do wonder about the Jedi mind-trick that has them still loving Andy Reid.
Best,
Barbara
Thanks for the like on the article man. People were hating on it but I'm glad somebody liked it. Kudos on the Browns/ND pride. Saddest day of my life was when I got turned down from Notre Dame. I should be covering some ND stuff soon and am currently working on a big ND recruitment piece so be on the look out. Cheers! Cheers!
Thanks for the "like" of my recent Flyers article. It is pretty strange how poorly they play in the first 10 minutes of the game :-(
Thanks for the love, buddy. I was lucky (?) enough to spend a decent portion of my youth in Philly/PA in addition to Cleveland. You're right, they get a bad rap- but if they couldn't love Donovan McNabb, who could love them?
Dear Matthew - Thanks for reading and liking my article!
You clearly get this a lot, but thanks for the praise for my Holmgren article.
Matthew, thanks for tagging my article. I really do appreciate it!
Hey Matt, thank you so much for the reader praise. Go Flyers!!
