Brian, I read your article about the twenty fastest players ever in the NBA and I am afraid that you have to see more tape. Who did you speak to about this list? I urge you to speak to any player who palyed in the NBA from 1965 to maybe 1975 and three names that are not on your list will come up over and over. Mention one of these guys and any old timer will probably simply shake his head. Do you want to know who these guys are? First, Archie Clarke, comeon man, this guy had the fastest cross over dribble ever seen. You listed Tiny who was very quick, but I think he would tell you that Clarke, who was a little older than Tiny, had an even faster cross over. Check some tape. The second, Calvin Murphy, comeon man, at 5'10" Calvin was so quick and fast that he averaged over twenty points a game regularly, but he mostly shot just 14 to sixteen jump shots. Trust me, in the land of the "trees" at 5'10" you have to be extremely fast to get off jump shots and to consistently average over 20 points a game year in and year out is just crazy. You listed Iverson, who was fast and quick, but he didn't consistently shoot at 14 to sixteen feet. He was much further out on the floor or getting all the way to the bucket to score because he probably could not consistently get shots off at 14 to sixteen feet. Third, and finally, the late Randy Smith, comeon man, Division II All-American triple jumper, All-American soccer player, and All-American basketball player, MVP of 1977 NBA All-Star Game, and held for many years the Iron Man record for consecutive games played in the NBA. I have talked with NBA greats like Earl Monroe and the mere mention of Randy's name will make him shake his head. Next time you see Hondo, ask him how fast was Randy Smith? Look at the tapes!!! Maybe 3 or 4 inches taller and maybe 30 lbs heavier than an all time great sprinter like Carl Lewis, but at full speed Randy looked every bit like Carl on a basketball court. Ok, I'm out.

You choose Babe Ruth over Willie Mays? Why? How did you dtermine that? Did you Mays play? I never saw Ruth play but Mays has never had any equal in any era of baseball He had every skill in baseball.

Durant is not the anti-lebron! Derrick Rose is!! U always see durant showboating on occasion... yelling after a dunk, doing his shoulder shimmy at the free throw line, and certain other things I don't want to go on about. And Derrick Rose is the savior of this sport, and the hope for the future of this sport, if it wasn't for him the nba would be going down the drain right now. I am a real basketball enthusiast, and I know if it wasn't for Rose I wouldn't give a crap about the association right now. Nobody was saying this about Durant when he came into the league or even in the past two years, now that the real savior has arrived, in Rose, the media wants to give somebody else the credit for everything he does for this sport. And one particular reason why is because Rose doesn't have that alpha-male personality right now that has spoiled the fans for so long, especially mainstream, he's too humble of a human being, that's why he is the anti-lebron or whatever u media puppets call it. And we real basketball enthusiasts know who the real savior of this sport is... and that's Derrick Rose!
