About

Hey all, my name is Chris Eggemeyer, and I'm a proud senior at Stanford University, double majoring in Classics (Ancient History) and History (American History).

A long time ago, I was fortunate enough, in my ever-increasing desire to read more about sports, to stumble across a then-small time website called Bleacher Report, and today I'm proud to be a Featured Columnist.

After living in San Diego for the last 18 years, I've developed a passion for the San Diego Chargers (obviously), but, outside of football, my loyalties lie in a number of places. Obviously I'm a huge Stanford sports fan, but I'm also a huge Northwestern fan (parents), Blackhawks fan (original hometown) and Bulls fan (lived in Chicago during the Michael Jordan era).

I'm happy to bring you all (hopefully) quality content on everything San Diego Chargers, Arsenal, Blackhawks, and Stanford Football related.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment on my profile, I'd be happy to have a conversation.

If you like my stuff, feel free to follow me on twitter @chriseggemeyer (twitter.com/chriseggemeyer)

And now for random notes:

-Interviews: Jennie Finch

-For anything job-related, please e-mail me at cegg1@stanford.edu

i have look up wes welkers last few interview's and statement's and he doesn't say foot or toe's since he been in new england. he said it 11 time under 8 minutes right after the rex ryan foot fetish controversy came out. its funny how you are really are trying to defend wes walker like if the whole world doesn't know that he was trying to make fun of the jets

    Interesting read.

Will it be the LA chargers?

Like they used to say, "When you can suceed in anything you either teach or write about it." Someone will listen. Count your achievements after 20 years of sports writing, and doubt you will make a pimple on a Southern Boys BUTT.

Hey Chris, I was looking at your profile after reading your article and noticed you are working on a major in history (along with the Classics). I am a History grad student and wanted to encourage you to keep working with that history degree! You have obvious talent with sports writing and so definitely follow your passion but don't give up completely with history! We need good historians out there!

For some reason, my article isn't showing up on the Chargers site. Why?

    Hey Chris,

How's it going? Hate to bug you but was curious if you have an email address where I can contact you by? I have some great news I would like to share with some of the top writers/my friends from B/R. If not, I'll PM you the news!

    Let me know. Thanks
