Efrem's Bio
Married 46 year old; 2 sons - 12 & 9; Employed in legal affairs division Louisiana state government; Moved to Baton Rouge from West Palm Beach in October 2004. Oldest of 4 - 1 brother & 2 sister; Family consists of mostly cops.
Born and raised a Seminole by our then babysitter - a criminal justice major. I also majored in criminal justice. (Perhaps it was because of the crush I had on her). HUGE college football junkie. Don't care who's playing. I'm watching it. That also applies to college baseball as well.
Biggest issue for me is the lack of understanding of today's fan in what it means to be a D1 football player. An avid reader but not a big talker. You'll see me show up and comment whenever I think I can lend something credible and useful to the conversation. I don't argue or try to win someone over. I just ask that I receive the same respect that I am affording you. Even in disagreement.
As you'll notice by my choices of favorite players (sans Peyton) I don't go along with what the MSsportsM says I should. I have a particular disdain for the MSsportsM because they've become very tabloidish. They love drama just as much if not more than TMZ, People, etc. In fact, and as much as it hurt me, I stopped watching College Gameday 2 years ago. And depending on the actual game broadcasters, I watch with the sound turned down if I can't find the radio feed.
Lastly, PLEASE stop with the "best conference" crap.

Hey Efrem,
It's time for Maverick Basketball. My buddy Alex Mcveigh and I will be getting people together for this season Mavericks Roundtable. This is an invitation to be onboard. We are thinking it will be a Bi-weekly article. Alex or I will the questions out to everyone, and you only have to answer respond back in a timely fashion.
