I wrote for my high school paper, but stopped after graduating. My passion for journalism and blogging has never died though, and I have taken what I learned then to apply it on Bleacher Report. In short, I write because I love to. I write sports stories because others do, and I want to share my views on sports with the world. Dear Justin, Here's what I'd like to know: Why would the Red Wings bring back Ozzie for another season when they didn't trust him to play much this season? It looks to me like his reflexes are no longer up to playing at that level. Surely, they are not bringing him back simply to mentor Howard. If that was the case, they could Ozzie as a coach.

There's no denying that Osgood has been on the major downhill of his career, and at the time I wrote the article, Bettman didn't announce the possibility of a $2 million salary cap increase, which would be very beneficial to Detroit because they're already at the limit.
If it does increase, I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit goes after a goaltender who knows that his role is to fill in for Howard when he is feeling the wear and tear of consecutive starts.
As for Ozzie becoming a goalie coach, I'm not too sure if he'd do that right now. I'm pretty sure that after he retires he'd want to spend time with his family and help his wife with her yoga clinic in Plymouth.
Do I see Osgood working with the Red Wings? Absolutely. He loves Detroit, and Detroit loves their Ozzie.
