About

My name is Mike, and I am a 28 year-old graduate student working on my MA in History. I have a BS in Middle School Education with endorsements in Language Arts, ESL and Social Studies. I'm a sports fan who likes to write. I'm sort of a geek for sports history and stats, and I like making lists and rankings.

Here on b/r, I'm a Michigan Wolverines Football Featured Columnist. That being the case, most of my articles will focus on the Maize and Blue. However, as time allows, I will take part in other b/r coverage teams and write about other major sports news.

If you like what you read (or if you don't) I'd like you to comment on my articles. I do my best to respond to every comment. All I ask is that you be respectful in your comments directed at me or other posters.

Hey here's an idea for an article. "Green Bay Packers are now officially America's Team. Publicly owned team, great fanbase, in the heart of america, superbowl champs. Comeback story of the year, rodgers steps out of favres shadow etc etc People have lots of reasons to hate the cowboys and steelers but how could you hate the Packers?"

I'd write it myself but I don't have time nor have I filled out a writers application or whatever.

All I did was put your reserves on their own slides. That's about it. I changed "shawquille" to "shaquille," and cut out one short sentence about a stars accomplishments, since they were clearly listed above. Nothing all that major. Next time I will be sure to let you know.

Hey Mike. Thanks for pointing out the exception, but check again. The example you pointed out--"Kobe had 31 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists."-- is posted next to "NOT a Stat Line. The real stat line was above that example, in the parentheses. When you referred to stats, you did it in the "not a stat line" style," so the numbers should be spelled out.
