  3. Hey Kyle—Jeff here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our Golf page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at jeff@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,

    Jeff

  4. Hi Kyle. I hope you're doing well. Thanks for responding to my post on your bulletin board, I appreciate your thoughts and advice on that.
With the Ryder Cup coming up I am going to be doing a collaborative article amongst regular golf community contributors on their thoughts/predictions on who will win the Ryder Cup and why.
I just wanted to see if you'd like to participate?
If you would, please either email me your thoughts (fitzm80@aol.com) or just post them on my bulletin board.
I am going to take excerpts from everyone who participates and put them all into an article and then we can all discuss/debate through comments.
    Thanks Kyle.

  5. Hey Kyle. I loved your articles about revamping the FedEx Cup, I agree with just about everything you said. I think the concept of the FedEx Cup is a good idea, it just needs to be drastically changed though.
By the way, I saw in your profile that you are a freelance writer. I just wanted to see if you had any advice on how to break into freelance sports writing?
I am not a trained writer (ie. I've never taken writing courses or written for a newspaper, magazine, etc.) but freelance sports writing is something I might like to get into one day.
Not even sure I'd be able to but I would not even know how to get into it if I wanted to, so, again, I just wanted to see if you had any advice on how to go about getting into freelance writing?
Any thoughts or advice you have would be great.
Thanks Kyle and I look forward to reading some more of your golf articles if you post any during the FedEx Cup and Ryder Cup.

  6. hey kyle thanks for proofreading my article, "Believe it or not Golf is as Good as Ever." Also thanks for the advice and tips regarding writing a good report. I have no problem believing i had grammatical erors and misspelled words as an engineering major. but thanks again

  7. Thanks for the kind words, Kyle. I do try to let the writers say what they mean.

    Take care now -

    Jeff

  8. Hi Kyle,
Your article about the FedEx Cup was outstanding!!!
I was also planning on writing an article in the near future about how the current FedEx Cup system is very, very flawed and how the idea of the FedEx Cup could be great if the current system was significantly modified. If you don't mind I would like to quote you on a couple of points you made in this article (obviously giving you credit for your quotes by name in my article). I may also contact you via another note on your wall for some of your thoughts on ideas I had to better the current FedEx Cup system, again, if that is ok with you.
You hit upon one, if not THE major flaw of the current FedEx Cup system in a very well-written article!

  9. Hey Man,

I definitely think that it's an important series and it will definitely be fun baseball to watch. It is just hard for me to think that a series in late July will come close to guaranteeing a division champion. It may be important for momentum and confidence, but a lot more goes in to affecting the way a division unfolds. Great article though and it will be fun to see how the series plays out!

  10. Hey Kyle! That's cool. I've learned that the editing isn't a cut to my writing ability, its just to make it better. So I really don't notice anymore when someone edits it. There was only on article I wrote that had an edit that actually changed what my article said, and I can't even remember anymore.

  11. Kyle, I'm not working in firefox tonight so here's some editor's feedback.

Great article! I just tweaked your headline and edited for style. Make sure everything checks out to your liking—keep up the awesome work!
