Stewart is a professional soccer coach and freelance writer regularly published on a range of topics at www.ehow.com and www.livestrong.com, the website of Lance Armstrong. A featured columnist on World Football, Boxing and American Football are two other sports covered by Flaherty.

After graduating with a Master's Degree in Sport Psychology from Loughborough University in England, Stewart pursued a full time career in sports. Flaherty is currently an assistant coach with Bates College and has previous experience, including youth coaching with high level clubs including Real Salt Lake.
