Is it better to be loved than to be feared, or the contrary. I reply that one should like to be both one and the other: but since it is difficult to join them together, it is much safer to be feared than to be loved when one of the two must be lacking. For one can generally say this about men: that they are ungrateful, fickle, simulators and deceivers, avoiders of danger, greedy for gain; and while you work for their good they are completely yours, offering you their blood, their property, their lives, and their sons, when danger is far away; but when it comes nearer to you they turn away. And that prince who bases his power entirely on their words, finding himself stripped of other preparations, comes to ruin; for friendships that are acquired by a price and not by greatness and nobility of character are purchased but are not owned, and men are less hesitant about harming someone who makes himself loved than one who makes himself feared because love is held together by a chain of obligations which, since men are a sorry lot, is broken on every occasion in which their own self-interest is concerned; but fear is held together by dread of punishment which will never abandon you.

Got two new pieces up. You'll like them both. One is Wild Card picks and the other is my emotional fallout from the Texas game last night. Hope you're well. Getting ready for the first Cowboys playoff win since I was 19.
Can't wait to read that article. For some reason you and ABBA are not a natural music connection. Back in Dallas for Christmas. I miss Texas. If it wasn't for me being so obsessed with acting and film I'd move back in a heartbeat. Hope the holidays go well for you my friend. I'm still dumbfounded by the win over the Saints. Biggest win since beating Green Bay in 2007. Let's see if they can handle prosperity.

They got lucky today. To give up that kind of yardage, especially on the ground to TAMPA F'ING BAY is inexcusable. A win is a win but if they play like that next Sunday night against the Giants, it's gonna be a very unhappy opening of Cowboys Stadium.
That defense HAS to get better.
If I remember correctly, it was something along the line of if that 12 grand on Atlanta's 4 points pays off, a 25% finders fee would come in handy right now.
