Professional Football: The Chase of An Impossible Dream?
For every one of the 13 million people playing football unprofessionally in the UK, the possibility of professional contracts with professional clubs is a very real possibility for some. But of those with the talent to play our beautiful game, how many are chasing an impossible dream?

Hey Bevan,
No worries at all mate, I literally always forget words when writing my first draft, so it really wasn't a big deal. Just something I thought you should know, in case you also published it elsewhere (I know a lot of people do).
As for my journalism course, I am starting at Brunel in September, which should be cool. But I know what you mean about it being bloody expensive! It depends what you want to do, if you fancy a sports journalism course I think the best are Staffordshire, Brighton and maybe Lincolnshire? Or check out newsassociates.co.uk - their sports journalism course is highly rated, and being an intensive 20 weeks you will be in a job a lot sooner than others! I went up there last year for an interview and was really impressed, they really know what they are doing - and with a working newsroom on site they offer amazing practical experience.
As for the editing internship, try this link: http://bleacherreport.com/pages/interns . Should tell you everthing you need to know. If you go for it, good luck!
Thanks for the kind words about my articles - obviously yours are also far from shabby! I can certainly see why so many people on here voted for you as the 'best newcomer'!
Hope this helps,
Alex
