Johnny Walker is a boxing writer and rock music critic who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Walker was a Contributing Editor at the first major online rock magazine, Addicted To Noise / Sonicnet, from 1995-2001, where he wrote features, conducted interviews, and penned many album and concert reviews. The site was eventually sold to MTV.

Walker has also been published in Rolling Stone.com, VH1.com, Popmatters, and many others. His Top 10 picks for album of the year appear in the Village Voice's Pazz and Jop Poll annually (http://tinyurl.com/4pggfw8).

Walker has recently begun to write about his other passion, heavyweight boxing, for Bleacher Report and for Boxinginsider.com. This is his initial foray into the world of sports journalism.

Walker's educational background includes a PhD in English from the University of Toronto in 1999, but don't hold that against him: it was the folly of youth that made him do it.
