About

I am a lifetime SF Giant fan who was born and raised in the SF Bay Area. I owe my becoming a Giant fan to a favorite uncle who happened to be a Dodger fan who when the Giants moved to San Francisco used to take one of us (four boys in my family back then) to Giant Dodger games each year. Seeing Juan Marichal , Willie Mays, The Alou Brothers, Stu Miller, Jim Davenport, Willie Mac ... the list goes on and on ... but getting to see these phenomenal ballplayers was pure pleasure for this baseball fan and it didn't take me long to understand that even though my favorite uncle was a good guy ... the Dodgers Suck! :) Something all good Giants fans learn early in life.
Besides being a baseball fan that same favorite uncle (Wayne Curtis) was also a big Raider football fan and had bought into season tickets as far back as when the Raiders played at Frank Euell Field before the Oakland Coliseum was built ... and I happen to agree with my uncle on which team to root for ... The Oakland Raiders.
I've been fortunate to attend Giants Spring Training and although a big fan of sports ... I don't live or die by what happens on the field anymore ... but still enjoy the game. I played baseball thru Babe Ruth baseball and continued to play recreation league ball ... until I was way too old to be out there :) Finally last year played my final games due to bad knees and a shoulder problem but still go watch my buddies do their thing out there on the ball field.
I'm now single and retired in Arcata, CA after working in Public Works for a lengthy career and spend my time doing art, writing, hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying life.

You seem to know a lot about the Giants. You could apply to become a writer and write about the Giants.

You had left a comment on my article about the Giants' starters expecting a decline, but I can't seem to read it. Perhaps you deleted it? From what I did read, it seemed like you were discounting what I wrote because Ilive on the East Coast, so you'll claim East Coast bias, which is rediculous. It doesn't matter if I live in Europe. Facts are facts.

Perhaps you should try writing something instead of criticizing those who do? Show me what a real writer is, perhaps. Much like the SF Bay Area-ers, you can talk, but there isnt much to back it up.

Roger......Dave Morrison is definitely the guy I contacted him one time and he said he'd look into it. Everything was cool for the next couple of months. Now all I get from him is dead air.. Good luck with it , feel free to use my name if you want. Most of my zingers are limited to Giant mgt and I've always felt that there was a comprising relationship between the site and MLB.

Hey Roger ....What's up with all the disappearing posts? Mine vanish about 2 - 1. Have you made an inquiry to Dave Morrison w/ BR ? I can't get a response from him. If they do reply , I'd love to hear the excuse. ....TM
