Final word, another BIG piece of the SF pedigree is BOCHY. Proven playoff winner compared to Ned Yost who now has only one playoff series win compared to Bochy's 8 in a row. Big edge to Giants in terms of managerial effectiveness and experience!

The world series will come down to pedigree. The Royals have no pedigree, playing AL teams in the playoffs with no recent playoff success. The Giants have a huge playoff pedigree, beating the Cards (who have big pedigree) in 5 games. Plus, the Giants are going the WS for the 3rd time in 5 years..........PEDIGREE.

Giants win easily in 5 games and only play 2 games in KC!

Great writeup on the FSU vs NCSU game. I agree that NCSU's offense is good enough to propel them to Top 25 status; I think the defense will need to improve some though.

Dave Doeren does have things moving quickly in the right direction and as a Pack fan I feel very optimistic and excited for the program.

Read your recent article on Byron Scott. One contention--you cite the Cav's woes on D, but did not look at the teams he coached w/ the Hornets and Nets. He got them to play defense with multiple top 10 defensive teams, with the #1 Nets team defense efficiency in '01-02. When given the right players, he was able to get his team to play hard. The young, inexperienced Cavs team could not overcome the missing games of Varajao (best defender) and Kyrie over the 3 years. Byron had nothing to work with, especially players who wanted to play D. Just thought I would give my two cents.
