I am hoping to make a career out of sportswriting or sports media relations. If I can't find work with a hockey or baseball team, I would like to stick with working on websites, much like I am currently doing with Bleacher Report.

I have numerous favorite players across many NHL teams, but my hockey teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins first and foremost, then the Vancouver Canucks. I am a season ticket holder for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (and still hoping for that Calder Cup).

I have been on Bleacher Report since April of 2010, when I got accepted into the editing internship program. In September of 2010, I was asked to come on-board as a part-time copy editor, and I went full time a year later.

In addition to being a copy editor, I also act as an NHL and Pittsburgh Penguins Featured Columnist, and you may see me write the occasional article about the New York Yankees.

I am also a "Fan in the Arena" blogger for Pennsylvania Puck (http://www.papuck.com) and a New Jersey Devils correspondent at The Hockey Writers (http://www.thehockeywriters.com).

    Thanks as usual for the fine work. I thought about the whole "honorable mention" vs "honorable mentions" thing but it was one mention about multiple players. At least that was my logic.

    Alison, Thanks for the edit. I changed the tag back to NBA even though it's a multiple sports. It's not personal, it's just that this was a an assigned article and I was specifically asked to tag it as an NBA article. I think they want it that way because of Lin.
