Well, the most obvious negative would be his lack of experience at the highest level. This is only William's first full season in the Portuguese first division. He has been outstanding all season long, but most of his opponents are quite weak compared to most of the sides he'd be facing in England.

The world cup could certainly serve as a proper evaluation of both his quality and readiness for elite football.

I think William Carvalho has the potential to thrive in any league. Many people have compared him to Yaya Toure, but he is more of a defensive midfielder than a box-to-box midfielder.

In terms of his playing style, William is actually quite similar to Barcelona's Busquets in that he relies heavily on his superb positional sense to make timely tackles and interceptions rather than brute force or athleticism. Also, like Busquets, William is extremely composed in possession. His passing is generally more neat and tidy rather than adventurous, but he is more than capable of playing the killer pass if necessary.

    World-class potential.

My expectations are at an all time low with United this season. My feeling is right now, with the way we've been playing, we're not going to get top 4. If we can even beat Swansea with arguably our best lineup, we aren't beating Everton, or Liverpool.

Those 2 matches are must wins now. And right now we don't have the quality to beat them (playing wise).

Personally, I'm giving him till the January transfer window of next year. If we're still in like 5, 6, 7 after 3 windows I'd seriously consider sacking him.

I get on him a lot in my comments because I need to see some sort of progress in our play, our form etc. I've never really liked or supported his appointment (I felt we should've gone for someone else), but now that he's here I'll give him a chance, but he hasn't done anything to convince me that he can handle the job.

I know I may come across as mean sometimes in the way I word my comments. I assure you it's a heat of the moment thing and nothing against you personally. And you haven't said or done anything wrong either.

No no, nothing like that Nick. I just don't agree with a lot of what you say (most of the time). Nothing personal.

Just a heads-up, David Teo is telling people this is my account. He might start spam flaming you. Sorry if it happens, he's got a problem with me and seems to want to involve anyone active in the United pages. He wants to get the masses to rise against me. Or something...
