Paul, I have been told to come to you, I have been given a biography to do by L-J Burgess and LJS, for the F1 Hall of Fame and they have told me to come to you for advice on it, the subject that I am doing I have researched and am now ready to write, however I need the format of the article and I would like to have a look at other articles from the HoF so I can see how other people have written theirs. The other thing is, I have noticed LJS has written something about F1 bosses articles, and I saw Enzo was mentioned, I am itching to write something about Ferrari or Enzo himself. I have many books on the great man and the team and I would love to have the opportunity to write about them.

I've kept the list of nominees short (and only drivers) and most of them have probably been mentioned already.

I think that we accomplished what we needed to by Peter's return, so hopefully we can move on to the root of the problem.

There are obvious wounds in Sara's heart over the Round Table and I know that she's a very forgiving person but an open handed resolution between all those parties would be a big help in the healing process.

Paul,

You know that I have the utmost respect for what you've brought to the table in F1. I saw your talents in the very first comment thread you participated in.

Concerning the comment thread in your piece, I'm done with the details. The debate has lost it's vision and mission and turned into a 'he said, she said' catfight. I know that is not what you intended when you wrote a very valid editorial on the future of the F1 community.

Obviously the F1 move was a bad one and I see your points and understand your position.

What we absolutely must do now is prevent the F1 community from eating it's young and destroying it's membership from within.

We can find a remedy to the toolbar issue but we'll never find another F1 community of writers as qualified as this again.

Give me options on changing this destructive path so that we can re-focus on the issue at hand.

Dear Paul,

I usually try to delete my "breaking news" pieces after some time, off late - I had been lax on that front and for some time around my browser acted funny. Have to clean up my port. Also, now that I have you setting an example, I thought it is interesting to follow suit. What do you say? Quite a precedent you set there by deleting all the articles while I delete only some. I am yet to delete the Heikki article, have to get on to it.

:-) You know that I always respected your work and that the praise was well deserved, even before I could relate you to F1, so let me say this, your articles bring about a view point that people tend to put aside, like truth is a bitter pill to digest, so my dear friend, what is truth should remain in open places, so that lies cannot rule the roost.

Paul, thanks for your comments on my F1 Safety article.

L.J. (underlined) a clue to the disdain with which NASCAR is viewed by many F1 fans lies in the words Stock Car. Stock car racing has a ratty-tatty image over here, a smell of hot-dog onions at the White City. The (really quite good) movie The Long Good Friday has a brief scene set at a stock car race that captures the seediness of it quite well.

I finally got off my ass and wrote something. What started out as a cute little baseball piece turned into a 'book' six hours later...

I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see you diving into the NASCAR fray. Most F1 fans look at NASCAR with disdain and I'm flummoxed by that.

If it's got wheels and goes fast I love it regardless of the discipline.

An edit usually helps bring it to the top of the page sometimes as I am undergoing an editing internship at B/R.

I only deleted the extra line that was at the top and made paragraph spaces as the lingo online is to "keep it short and simple"

I was able to get permission to interview Mike Gascoyne, ex-McLaren, ex-Sauber, ex-Tyrell, ex- Jordan, ex- Renault, ex- Toyota, current Force India Chief Technical Officer (CTO) via a questionnaire. Very cool Paul, very cool. I mostly ran in East Coast trash surf during hurricane season in the '70's and '80's, very few big water days in my portfolio. Drank a lot of beer sitting around shops watching guys develop the short boards by hand over those years though. Lot's of good, good times talking wave mechanics and technique.

I just sold my 1970 Aquarius 7'9" Sunburst two years ago. I had no idea it would be worth so much being a 'tweener' single fin. Intermediate boards have made a comeback over the past decade.

Hello Paul,

I am not sure sir! I only have intermittent internet access, hence I failed to see your comments. My apologies.

May be you could post the same again. Sometimes it night happen that the server may have been under maintenance when you posted and probably the link was missing. I sure hope that there was nothing offensive in there cause, there is a link that reads "Flag as Offensive" and someone who may have not liked the comment could have "flagged it as offensive". If they are missing just like that despite them being relevant comments, then it might be a technical difficulty. I've heard of writers who lost major portions of their articles or had to repost their articles as the server did not take their saved copy. Kindly repost your comments Paul. I hope I was able to anwswer your query satisfactorily, if not please post a note on the Technical guy for B/R, Bryan Goldberg.

Okay, now that I read L.J.'s note below, let me add, please let your articles remain, do not delete them, it not only helps in the archive but some of us DO READ OLD articles and you are depriving us a chance to read some valid views. Also, once you have written the article and people comment on it, the article does become public property.

Most of us are here for the love of the sport and not for becoming top writers.

Don't delete Paul, it's important to build an archive. When your work shows up on Google and people like what they see they always want more. Your work is good and people will find your past work even more interesting.

No, No, stay, stay and write. I think that you would add to the site and offer an excellent point of view to the F1 community. Your perspectives are your own as are those of fellow writers.

This is a place for aspiring sports writers to finally take the plunge and get off of their duff and publish something. It's not so much about being correct in assumptions or arguing their merits, it's about conveying those assumptions in a semi-professional, edited manner that may lead to ... dare I say it ... a writing job.

The back and forth of debate is not only encouraged here but rarely and barely censored and exposes the nature of the debater in it's rawest form. If your comments are brusque and unyielding then you expose your true self outside this cyber forum.

Debate, be a member, an analyst, be a community leader, hell, be an editor, but for goodness sake be a part of something positive that moves the subject, fellow members and this website forward in it's quality and exposure.
