About

Born in Nicaragua to a Chilean mother and U.S. father. Have lived in the Pacific Northwest almost my entire life. BIG fan of Washington Husky football and of college football, in general. I follow the Seattle Sounders, as well, though I'm not THAT big a fan of MLS soccer in general. For soccer in general I mostly follow major tournaments (such as the World Cup, the European Championships, and La Copa América) involving national teams and to a lesser degree tournaments involving club teams. After holding MANY jobs since I was 17, or so, I now work at the University of Washington (my third stint) in the math department. I very much like what I do but even more I LOVE the fact that I'm working for the university. VERY MUCH the kind of atmosphere I like to be in 5 days out of the week.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Michael Jordan, Steve Emtman, Marques Tuiasosopo

  • Favorite Sports Teams

the Seattle Sounders, the Washington Huskies, and certain national men's soccer teams (Brasil's, Italy's, Chile's...)

  • Favorite Coaches

Don James, Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox

  • All-Time Sports Moment

the Washington Huskies winning the 1992 Rose Bowl to finish an unbeaten season

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Washington Huskies' win over USC 13 - 3 in 1981

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

So many it's hard to say, but I'll submit this: no team will win 10 national championships in 12 years in (men's) college basketball the way UCLA did from 1964 - 1975

  • Ruth or Mays?

Not a baseball fan but I'd probably go with Mays if pressed

  • Unitas or Montana?

Never saw Unitas play so I'd have to go with Montana

  • Jordan or Russell?

I'm sure Bill Russell was outstanding in his own way but I have to go with Jordan on this one

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Never saw Orr play so I guess I'll go with "The Great One"

  • Pele or Maradona?

For me there is no QUESTION on THIS one: Pelé, unDOUBTedly

  • Federer or Sampras?

Boy, I liked Sampras a LOT when he was playing but it's hard to argue with what Federer accomplished in his prime (and may still acccomplish)

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Not really a golf fan and I don't remember much about Nicklaus. Tiger's legacy, for me, has been tarnished by his personal shortcomings so - neither

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

I'm even less an auto racing fan than I am a baseball fan

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    See above

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Best college football conference: the SEC. My FAVORITE conference: well, the Pac-8/10/12, of course

When did this become about me trying to "convinve" you that Germany is the favorite for 2014? You are a delusional hater, this argument started when I questioned your motives for trolling and hating a team with no backup. I don't like how Man U plays but I don't go on their articles to bash their play style, I could give 3 fucks about their superiority complex as well. you think you're smart to say Germany won't win in 2014? The odds of them winning are not in their favor in spite of being one of the favorites because there are other good teams as well but what you can't deny is that they play very proactive attacking football.

The issue is not that you don't like the German team or acknowledge the fact that they are/have always been a footballing power. The problem is that you go around bashing people with no apparent cause for your trolling, mentioning they always make excuses for losing or mentioning that they "think" they'll win everything. When they lost to Spain in 2010 the players seemed nonchalant about the situation as saying "no one expected us to come this far". There, have a good life.

You clearly did not reply with a satisfactory rebuttal. How do I have no objectivity? I just owned you with facts. Even with 2 prehistoric world cups in which many European powers declined to participate at Germany STILL has more titles. They are currently shaped way better for the present and future yet you haven't mentioned shit other than your biased opinions. Please do not attempt such an atrocity in your worthless life. It is essential for you to realize how pathetic your life is in this universe or any other one......if there is one. Never let another preposterous statement come out of your colossal penis craving mouth. Please proof read the ridiculous message you sent to me and notice how idiotic you sound. You insult my intellectual capacity you bigot. I reverse the statement you replied to me and apply it to your self: dicklicker.

You talk as if Germany and Italy have played 50 matches against each other and the score was 50-0 in favor of Italy. I can care less which team does it but I appreciate nice football, Germany just so happens to have developed a huge array of talent over the past 10 years and their players, though young, are being recognized worldwide now. I also find it funny that you mention how they've been at a trophy drought for 16 years when Spain went in a 44 year drought, Italy has gone in a 30 year drought, and other "big" teams have gone on large droughts as well. You are free to like any team you want, but to constantly bash a team for having a playing style you don't like? Specially when they play such an attractive brand of football.

Relax there buddy, my grandparents are from Spain and I don't pretend to be a fucking Nazi lol. They are just the most consistent team in world football, that's not my fault or yours dude. If you say you don't like cheats then how come you defend Italy so much? They're like the biggest fucking cheats in world football history and that's a fact, kind of contradicting yourself there bud.

Your hate for Germany is quite amusing, did you know that in tournaments they've only played each other 8 times? Italy won 4 while the other 4 were draws. Does it burn that much that Germany has more international titles than Italy? Cheers
