Thanks! I totally agree about the Michigan game. If it goes well it will be a strong indicator of things to come.
I think everyone is psyching themselves out because we went so far last year unexpectedly and people don't think we can do it again, but I have a lot of faith in Brian Kelly. He's building a powerhouse.
Thanks! I'm glad you like the articles. Kelly is going with the pistol, but you can still do a power rush out of that formation. The O-line is lined up tightly in a pistol, just like the power-O and I, so they can still cover man-to-man and open holes for the backs.
As for this season, I think we will do very well if things don't go off the rails in the first few weeks of the schedule. The D line is still very solid and the secondary is more experienced. The big question is whether the offense will click. I feel good about the receivers, especially TJ Jones. As far as rushing--GAIII needs to mature into a power back stat, especial;y for the pistol. He has the body for it so we'll see. Rees is statistically very similar to Golson, so I don't think the switch will be too detrimental to the offense.
Guess we'll find out Saturday! Go Irish!!
Thanks for the support!
