James Goyder had his first article, a poem about a football, published in Match Magazine when he was 11 years old. He won an anorak for it.

He has long since outgrown the anorak but developed a taste for seeing his name in print. He writes mainly, but not exclusively, about boxing, MMA and football but has wisely decided against further forays into the world of poetry.
