Hi my name is Ravit Anand and I am currently studying Sports Journalism at the University of the Arts London (London College of Communication).

My passion for sports journalism began as a friendly piece of writing, but quickly turned into a stepping-stone for a possible career path and a different field of interest. From being the organiser and member of a local football team, which participated in the Goals Student League; after every match I would memorise key events, which resulted in writing weekly reports. At first this was merely something to pass the time, but it soon turned into an interest, which generated positive response. I found myself not only writing about a generalised topic, but something I enjoy and have a keen interest in; sports more specifically football.

I aim to gain a wider knowledge of journalism by covering real sports news events and gaining hands-on experience of working in an active sports department. Having realised what is available and what I can achieve, this will give me a platform to begin and progress my career within the sports journalism field.
