Esa has yet to fill out a bio.
Thanks for reading and commenting on my article, Esa. By the way, are you the Esa or is he just your favorite player/pest? Anyway, talk about expanding to Kansas City has died because an Islander exhibition game there drew poorly. Hamilton has a small NHL size arena now and is willing to upgrade it, but the NHL wants to exploit them with a $400 million expansion fee. Winnipeg built a too small 15,000 seat arena which has hurt their chances of getting a team. Hartford hasn't built a new arena, but both Baldwin and the mayor believe that a new NHL size one needs to be built for long term success. But there hasn't been any active steps towards that yet. The best chance may be Quebec which has been putting together an investment team that is willing to deal with the arena issue. They may have a business plan that will be revealed next month. If it meets all the NHL's requirements, they may be able to get their team back.
