Nick's Bio

I'm a young, 19 year old guy who is very interested in becoming a journalist. I'm particularly interested in MMA, but every sport is great to me.

I go to college in the Northeast, with a major in Communications. I'm focusing on becoming a sports journalist one day, hopefully with a concentration in Mixed Martial Arts. I'm very young and raw as a writer, but I'm constantly learning, and any help and/or feedback is greatly appreciated. Leave a note if any questions or comments!

  1. And another week of college football is in the books! Check out my top 25!

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/65792-college-football-power-rankings-week-six

  2. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my 5 Biggest Fights piece. I'm glad to see others who believe that Penn/Faber would not only be a great fight, but a great PPV draw. Faber is so marketable with his looks and charisma that it would be nearly impossible for it to do poorly on pay per view.

  3. I will definitely go back and re-read some of your old stuff. Hopefully you will get a chance to read a few of mine. As a newbie to the BR community I would love to get your feedback since you've been around for a few months and cracked the Top 10!

  4. You seem to have a good grasp on whats going on in the world of MMA. Your youth and rawness will serve you well as you develop your skills. Keep up the good work and follow those dreams man!

  5. Wow, what a week in college football! Sure made coming up with a Top 25 interesting! Check out mine:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/62859-college-football-power-rankings-week-five

  6. p.s.

Why don't I write more article you asked??? Well, read the one I DID write, it made 3'000 views in a couple of days. Quality over quantity my young friend! You should try the same with your opinions! Don't voice them unless you KNOW them to be correct!

  7. Nick,

Just because in your opinion 2+2=3, it doesn't mean anyone should respect it or respect you.

Let me explain something to you!

I like Lesnar, I hope he wins this tourney. I hope he improves his sub defense etc But as of NOW he is a nobody, a useless fake WWF nobody cross-over, while Werdum is a ADCC God and a top 5 MMA fighter in the entire world. Werdum is huge, tall and has submitted people as big and strong as Lesnar who have MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better sub defense and general skills. Werdum has submitted in 1st round AE, who lifts 120lbs with one hand over his head for repetitions!!! AE is MUCH taller than Lesnar and weighs the same. AE is also a world champion Martial Artist with tons of experience in MMA, his punching power has bropken the measuring machines on several occasions, yet he got subbed by Werdum like a school boy.

Please PLEASE stop being an idiot! I know you're only 18. Well, I'm over 30, and know every MMA fight in history by heart, every move, every match, every interview, it pains me to read the stupidity that you consider opinions.

    cheers,

  8. Hey, check out what I think about the College Football Power Rankings!

  9. "Werdum is not in Brock's or Mir's league"

    -Nick

(I posted this here on your profile, so that everyone can see and be reminded every time they visit your page of your ignorance and total lack of knowledge of combat sports in general. There are no words in English or any other language to describe how stupid your statement is. If you only knew!)

  10. Okay, so I've gone a little USC-Ohio State crazy, but I'd really appreciate your input on my latest article!

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/56122-an-alternative-look-at-usc-ohio-state

  11. We are going to write another group article, and I am hosting it. The topic will be: "Which combat discipline is best suited for MMA?" In other words, what single style is most effective for making the transition to and being successful in MMA? If you'd like to contribute, please send your entry to semaans@hotmail.com. A short paragraph or two would be an ideal length. Thank You!

  12. Oh and Nick: any time someone is harrasing you in the threads, click the "flag as offensive" button next to the comment and I'll be able to investigate the situation/take disciplinary action as necessary.

As for MMA writer rankings: http://bleacherreport.com/mma/top-writers

Looks like you're #12...keep it coming and you'll crack the top 10 soon!

Sorry to hear you lost your article from last night—let me know if this continues.

    Z

  14. Cool; I'll check it out sometime.

  15. My apologies Nick, a lot has come up since we talked!

I have a pretty busy weekend but promise it's my first priority for early next week...sorry again for the delay, but well worth the wait I promise!

Appreciate you following up on this, haven't forgotten =)
