I'm a young, 19 year old guy who is very interested in becoming a journalist. I'm particularly interested in MMA, but every sport is great to me.

I go to college in the Northeast, with a major in Communications. I'm focusing on becoming a sports journalist one day, hopefully with a concentration in Mixed Martial Arts. I'm very young and raw as a writer, but I'm constantly learning, and any help and/or feedback is greatly appreciated. Leave a note if any questions or comments!

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my 5 Biggest Fights piece. I'm glad to see others who believe that Penn/Faber would not only be a great fight, but a great PPV draw. Faber is so marketable with his looks and charisma that it would be nearly impossible for it to do poorly on pay per view.

Nick,

Just because in your opinion 2+2=3, it doesn't mean anyone should respect it or respect you.

Let me explain something to you!

I like Lesnar, I hope he wins this tourney. I hope he improves his sub defense etc But as of NOW he is a nobody, a useless fake WWF nobody cross-over, while Werdum is a ADCC God and a top 5 MMA fighter in the entire world. Werdum is huge, tall and has submitted people as big and strong as Lesnar who have MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better sub defense and general skills. Werdum has submitted in 1st round AE, who lifts 120lbs with one hand over his head for repetitions!!! AE is MUCH taller than Lesnar and weighs the same. AE is also a world champion Martial Artist with tons of experience in MMA, his punching power has bropken the measuring machines on several occasions, yet he got subbed by Werdum like a school boy.

Please PLEASE stop being an idiot! I know you're only 18. Well, I'm over 30, and know every MMA fight in history by heart, every move, every match, every interview, it pains me to read the stupidity that you consider opinions.

I'm not that well-versed in AP style. Here at B/R we follow the superior (my opinion only) Chicago Manual of Styles. And yes, with CMS, there's only one space between sentences. I know two spaces used to be standard (I have no idea why, I find it quite silly, but I'm sure there was a proper reason for it at one point in time), but luckily we have moved on in life and now stick with one space.

Also, real is an adjective, while really is an adverb.

So, you could say MMA is popular because it is a real sport. SPORT=noun so you need the adjective real.

I thought that was a really great fight. GREAT=adjective so it is modified by the adverb really.

I also liked that you posed a question at the end of your article. On a website like B/R we want people coming back to the sight and the best way is by getting them involved in discussions. Aoki beat Uno then had to fight again the same night (something Lauzon will not have to do unless he leaves the UFC). Thats a lame excuse, he got beat by Hellboy who is the Jekyll and hide of LW's. Aoki beat him previously with a gogo in Pride but the gameplan didn't go right. I wanted to see Aoki/Alvarez but then Eddie got hurt. Hopefully we see Aoki/hellboy 3 and Aoki will avenge the grand prix loss.

As far as the interview goes I would type out the whole thing and then work it out from there. I would watch length, interviews can get drawn out depending on the person getting interviewed. Just lay out as much relivent info as possible and I would concentrate on the questions you asked him pertaining to the upcoming fight. If there is anything else I can do let me know.

Nick, good article. One thing the editors missed is that you misspelled the word "parity" as parody. Parody is a humorous impersonation, like Saturday Night Live Skits. Parity, on the other hand means equality.

First off, really good article. I'm a fan of MMA and I really found your work insightful with some solid opinions.

If you go to article history, and my version of the story is showing, click the box that says show changes and it should highlight everything I did. Once you look at that, if you want a more in-depth reasoning for my edits, just let me know, i'll get that to you as soon as I can.

Your work was pretty solid, from what I remember. The biggest edits I made were just stylistic changes for house format and presentation.
