After Sven-Goran Eriksson was appointed as England's National soccer team head coach and manager it became apparent that I am his "almost identical" double and over the past few years, I have turned this into an exciting and bizarre career that has placed me in movies, video and a huge list of TV shows in addition to the after dinner speaking circuit and 100's of live appearances in shows, events and corporate advertising & promotions.
Svennis' popularity with the public has never diminished even though some elements within the British media did their best to smear him and I continue to bask in this wide spread public interest and approval "on his behalf".

Congratulations on your continued success. I too agree that Mexico was impatient with Eriksson and shouldn't have pulled the plug when they did. However, Sven is a fantastic manager with a breadth of knowledge and will land squarely on his feet somewhere. Thanks for the message, hope all is well with you.
Sven's dismissal from El Tri has sadly curtailed another series of TV and print assignments in Mexico City, but I am pretty busy with my regular apprearances on the UK / European speaker and event circuit plus some interesting and fun TV, movie and radio assingments.
"Goal! III" the movie is now out on DVD and the Screwfix Masters series is running through the summer with it's live televised final on SKY in September to look forward to......
Derek! I saw you on Mexican ESPN after your stunt at CU in Mexico City! It's an honor for me that you commented on my article. Keep up the good work, hopefully you'll be in Mexico more often!
Are you kidding? We love the Brits around here...our EPL community is one of our finest to date and is largely composed of folks from outside the states.
I realize that the site as a whole is catered towards American fans, but we always keep our friends from the UK in mind =)
Thanks for the contribution Derek!
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend derek!
I am always happy to hear from fans and/or anyone with an interest in the world of soccer or show business.....
