Kyle is a college senior majoring in English. A lifelong racing fan, he has put his focus toward a career as a motorsports journalist. He is optimistic that contributing to the Bleacher Report and help him achieve that very goal. Along with the Bleacher Report, he has been contributed to www.champodcast.com, a podcast run by Jason Heohn and Jeff Jobb that focuses on Indycar racing. He urges those who wish to offer him opinions of his writing and how to imrpove upon it and to check out his other work for champodcast.

did you just change the teaser for my "NASCAR Anonymous" article? i appreciate the edits and the effort, but the new teaser talks about "kicking the habit."

the intent of the article is to help people admit to their NASCAR addiction and to help them live life with the peace and serenity of not having to hide it anymore.

we wouldn't want people "kicking the NASCAR habit," especially those of us who write about it...

Much appreciated. Just edited to add the opening bracket near the Lewis Hamilton bit as that seemed to have taken a hike during one of the edits, or in all probability, I must have missed it.

Thanks for the note, and really, I appreciate the edits. I know I need to work on my run-on sentences and you did a great job slicing those up for me. Out of the many many edits you helped with on that article, there were maybe two or three that I changed - not reversed, but changed. And even those were more issues to do with rhythm and flow as I heard it from the voice in my head; there was nothing wrong with the edits themselves.

So thanks again and please, feel free in the future to look over anything and make changes as you think they would help. I'm a big boy now and can take some constructive criticism. And as I've learned in my umpteen years of education and a decade plus of experience, I rarely know all the answers and I almost never get everything right...
;-)

thanks so much for the edits. i definitely have a bad habit with those run-on sentences, but i'm working on it. i made a few changes myself, correcting a couple of spelling errors and adding back a little of the parallelism i had in there for rhythm and flow. i also made a couple of formatting changes; did you add the formatting that emboldened some text above the unenumerated list? i ended up moving a few words and a phrase or two you added up to the previous paragraph to tighten it all up a bit.

one question remains, however: is there a rule or guideline regarding the use of profanity in quotes? i usually avoid using any profanity, but felt a good fit with the line from "Training Day." i changed that a little to make the word a little more obvious without spelling it out completely. i'd prefer to leave it in as spoken, but understand if you think it detracts in any way, or breaks any rules or guidelines.

if you have a few minutes, i would appreciate it if you could go over it briefly once again to ensure that the changes i made didn't undo any of what you intended. i didn't add any more run-on sentences, so that's a start...

Thank you for your amazing edits and your feedback. I am really glad to see you shine and love the articles from your pen (keyboard). I just am keeping my fingers crossed on the HOF deal with all the nips and tucks in between. You are a wonderful editor with a grasp of the subject and you are much needed therein. Not only that it is well deserved.

Jeez, school is tough. I wonder how you manage your time, I am so bad at it, sometimes I am like stuck in a time machine, not knowing whether I am coming or going :-)

Do take care and keep writing your great articles on NASCAR and F!--u are one of the few crossover specialists on B/R and a big asset. And happy hacking away with the scissors of CTRL+X on B/R editing :-)

Hey Kyle. Help me out here, please. I front-loaded the title of my article for maximum search engine exposure: Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton/McLaren. I thought that's what all the tutorials tell us to do.

How does changing the title around to move Formula 1 to the back end help it?

While you're editing, scroll down to the tags and double check them too.

I've had to re-tag Penn State and White Sox pieces off the Auto Racing page today.

Those guys get in a hurry when they finish up writing and miss the final details occasionally.

I take a lot of pictures and this medium is a way of showcasing that talent. If its considered a talent. I try and find what i feel is appropriate for the subject from my own collection, if i cant, then i venture outside.
