I was born in western PA and raised in Western New York, near Niagara Falls and Buffalo. I have rooted for the Bills since their inception in 1960. I have been for the Cards since they beat the Yankees in '64 - all my friends were for the Yanks, and I had grown damned tired of them by 1963. I swore whoever beat them in the Series I would root for the rest of my life. I currently work for the Department of Defense, and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 2005. I wasn't a part-time soldier; I was a part-time civilian. I was active duty at first, but family came first, as it always should. I am happily married to a woman who is my opposite in so many ways. Makes for some great "spirited discussions" and even-better "compromise sessions". I have three children - two daughters and a son - and am proud of them all. I also have four (count' em - four) grandsons - great guys all!! My best friends are my Black Lab - Rocky (The Mighty Rock), and my Chihuahuas - Bailey (Bailey the Bold) and Chloe (Princess Chloe). All of these pups are always glad to see me, even on days the world hates my guts and my wife and kids are pooling their money to take out a contract on my life. You gotta love friends like that!
Anyway, I do have a sense of humor, but at times can be a tad blunt and gruff. If I say anything that offends, well, all I can do is paraphrase my late, great Dad (May God rest his Irish soul): get over it and move on. Chances are you had it coming.
I'm shocked you haven't filled out your bio yet.
