Tyler's Bio

I am currently an online journalism major at Ohio University, and want to get some experience in sports writing.

I grew up loving the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals more than anything, even through times of hardship and dismay, and Ochocinco.

I've been a big NHL fan since I was little, and have been dedicated to the Blue Jackets since their inception.

In more recent years I've developed a liking for European club football and international football. I'm currently trying to find a "favorite" Premier League club, so I'm open to arguments from any guy out there who wants me to like his team.

Tennis has also been a huge passion since I started playing in 2001. I tried to build my game like Tim Henman, but I wasn't quick enough to be a serve and volley guy, so I gave up my Wimbledon dreams.

Most of my writing will focus on the Columbus Blue Jackets, as well as mens professional tennis, with an occasional interlude into college sports, since I'm attending one right now!

I think it is time for the first Tennis Round Table (RT) at Bleachers. You are one of the top writers in the tennis domain, and hence we would love to know your response for the first RT question.

Rafael Nadal winning in Toronto last week combined with Federer losing in the second round, Rafa has an opportunity to take the No.1 ranking next week in Cincinnati? What has been the most important factor this year, in Nadal’s game that has provided him with such an opportunity, which he did not have the previous 4 years?
