Jake's Bio

I am a senior in High School who loves sports and wants to pursue a career in Broadcasting in college.

I am a Chicago Bears Community Leader.

My favorite teams are the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, and Florida Everblades of the ECHL. I am a die hard fan of the Chicago Bears.

I write about the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, MLB, my favorite teams and other relevant topics or anything that sounds interesting.

I have met many NBA players in my lifetime. I have met Chris Mullin, Mitch Richmond, Coach K, Rod Higgins, B.J. Armstrong and Byron Russell ( the player on the Utah Jazz who MJ scored against in the NBA finals). I have met two NHL players. I have met Chad Larose of the Carolina Hurricanes and Shane Hnidy of the Boston Bruins. I have met Brandon Phillips and Josh Hamilton when they were playing together on the Cincinnati Reds.

We haven't created the divisions yet...we need to see how many people sign up first.

We'll be finalizing everything on Wednesday and will be sure to let you know which division you'll be leading as soon as we have it figured out. In the meantime, keep the great stuff coming and enjoy the long weekend.

Great! Just to clarify, the Bears don't have a specific division. You will be assigned a division writers - they may be fans of other teams.

There will be a contest here at BR involving NFL writing. The format will divide the contestants into divisions where they will face off head-to-head each week and tally an overall record throughout the season. The matchups will be judged on number of reads. There will be a Community Leader assigned to each division to housekeep things within their respective division.

Are you working on the current Open-Mic all-time favorite Bears Team. Got mine done, got to add comments to it and defenses mostly from the 80's. The Offense is a mix from the 80's to present and a few HOF added in.

I just dont think the Bears will be good without a offense. Both QB's are bad, Marty Booker was bad last year with only 556 yards with 1 TD and Lloyd had 12 yards. I'd rather have the old WR's back. The Bears D is still good but when they're on the field most of the game like the Chiefs D last year then thats when injurys come into play(like last years Bears season). If the Bears had a good QB or one of the 2 step up then they MIGHT get wild card.

It just ticked me off that you tryed to go into deep detail about a team that you didn't watch and have no idea what happend with them last year.

No problem, my wife's from Streamwood, Ill, a Chicago suburb. Attachly grew up a Air Force brat, born in Mississippi and moved around alot growing up. Always favorited defense than offense, those like the Bears and "Peanuts" my favorite player. I also like watching Carolina's Chris Gamble , the Colt's Bob Sander's, John Lynch and a few other player's play. Amazing how they dominate games defensively, and fun to watch them just cleaning players clocks when they tackle them.

It's over 2341 right now. I guess, I beat everybody on BR with writing about Craig and knew I'm in the minority with liking the guy. Let me tell you. I had to set it a side, kept rewriting it, changing it around and was tough to write. Since it's really based on my opinion, used a couple of quotes, kept it simply and like the end result.

I don't think it's too important. You could be writing about something that doesn't spark people to jump to their keyboard and comment. Really, how many views you get only helps your publicity, it doesn't say anything about your writing. Greg Adams accidentally double posted an article which ended up getting five comments after he changed the article to not have any words in it. The amount of comments don't matter as long as you feel that you continue to put out quality work, the reads and comments will come with time as well as the offers from other sites.

Your original title hinted more towards short-term plans after the Super Bowl, but the article focuses more on his long-term life and career football. And I'm a minimalist by nature, I always try to say more with less.

However, it is your article, you own the creative license, so you are more than welcome to revert it back to your original title.

I live in Lake Forest, the town where the Bears have all of their practices throughout the year, and the players are everywhere during the season and mostly the offseason. I met Vasher where I work and for over three years we have talked in person whenever we have been able to be at the same place, which is usually at training camp. He is a real nice guy and when he signed that new deal last season, nothing changed at all and he still was the same exact person.

I checked out your blog. A little constructive criticism, unless it's breaking news, Maybe you should publish your work on B/R first, let it get edited, then publish it. Nobodies work is going to be perfect the first time, and publishing work that has been looked over by a few people first is going to only help the quality of the work.
