Jake's Bio

Born and raised in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. Packers, Brewers, and Badgers are a way of life for me. I'm also a big soccer fan so push for an MLS section of Bleacher Report!

  1. Hey Jake,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Jake!

  2. Glad everything checks out, Jake. We're working on creating a system to allow users to add pics directly into the BR library...but we're not quite there yet. For now, you can copy and paste pics you procure on your own directly into articles...which isn't as elegant a process as it might be, but should at least get the job done.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

  4. Sounds like a plan, Jake. Don't hesitate to be in touch going forward with questions/concerns/comments about any of the revisions that I or any other editor makes to your articles. Remember too that it's your work, in the end, so you have the final say...but we'll be here to help you make it as good as it can be. Best, RA

  5. Interesting dilemma there, Jake. My one comment would be that any J-school portfolio includes edited work--because applicants who work for newspapers, mags, etc. have all their work reviewed and polished by editors. As a general rule, all work on Bleacher Report is subject to editing, either by me or other user-editors. If it's really going to be a problem, maybe you could send the original version to J-schools, and advise them that the work on the site has been edited...

Anyway, I'll defer to whatever you think is best. Drop a line when you can.
