Mark's Bio

Mark was born and raised, in and out of the Boston area. He's very passionate about New England teams, yet loathes the great percentage of the 'cocky' Boston fans - He plays the more 'objective' approach.

His favorite book-by far- is Patriot Reign, by: Michael Holley; who also hosts the greatest sports-talk radio show ever. The Dale and Holley Show on WEEI Boston, from 10am-2pm est. ( www.weei.com )

Mark grew up playing hockey, golfing and wrestling. He took his 2-handicap to a D3 college, and was a walk-on #1 spot. But, a nagging back and knee injury sidelined his amateur sporting career. From there, he went on to become a chef.

He's in dire need to get out of the kitchen asap -so- he is currently enrolled at an online university, majoring in freelance writing.

He is about 2 months away from moving from Boston, to the Mile High city of Denver, CO. His writing topics may change, but his heart will always be with the Boston teams.

  1. Hey Mark! Good to hear from you :) I thought you'd gone away because the Bruins got KOed by the Habs... me too actually, I haven't posted much of late and have had trouble with the website itself.

What's up? You wanted to rap?

  2. Hey man, controversy is part of the game. You definitely struck a nerve with people, but I'm sure there were just as many on your side that remained silent. All in all, a great conversation (and not too shabby of a fight over the weekend as well...)

  3. I will be there tomorrow night, too. I got season tickets so generally I am at every home game and am always at the Playoff games.

  4. Hmm. I just checked out the Canadiens page.... and I saw two community leaders. TWO!

I am thinking of asking Zander if we could include *you* as a co-Bruin leader with me.... if you're up for it.

Cuz I think you're more than qualified for it; Mark Marino and KP Wee - we could both take this community and run it!! (among other things down the road in terms of our own sports stuff...)

    If you're up for it...
    -KP

  5. Yes, sir! I believe in Thomas now.. In fact, Mark, I addressed that in my article tonight. And what are you doing up this late ?? :)

  6. Mark,

They were robbed in Game Two. :-(
    And Game Four was winnable...

  7. Mark,

Any thoughts about Game Five Thursday in Montreal? Do the Bruins have a shot? Would love to see your take on this - if you've got a chance, it'd be great to see an article from ya.

    Cheers!
    -KP

  8. I used your name in my latest article, Mark. :D

Hope you didn't mind... cheers. Boston won! I was wrong about them getting swept.

  9. I just got carried away because NJD lost for the second straight game, that was all. :)

  10. You're right, Mark.

I will zipit.com... Enjoy the rest of the first round! :)

    Cheers,
    KP

  11. Haha. I just don't like the Devils, that's all... how could anyone who's not from that area like that team? :P

  12. Hahaha... That Devils pick is making you look bad. Rangers in five.

  13. No problem Mark, you write great articles.
I liked your Eastern Conference Playoff Predictions. Much more in depth than mine, although I did write mine up in 15 minutes during class.
Only problem I find is you chosing the Devils. It's going to be the Rangers in 6.

    Enjoy the playoffs

  14. Faith? Well, that thing went away in 2002... and perhaps permanently in 2004. And I have to be reminded every few months on ESPN Classic (ie. on their "Classic NHL" replay) that the Bruins lost Game Seven in '04 to blow that 3-1 series lead.

But seriously... why does ESPN Classic show games from a couple seasons ago??

  15. Thanks for reading. Can't wait to see how the series will go.
