My first game as a seaon ticket holder with the team back in Oakland. I got off the BART and stepped onto the parking lot of McAfee Coliseum and I began to well up. As crazy as this is going to sound, I said to myself, I am really with my people.

    Hey Natalie,
    I don't believe that Raider Nation is a group of thugs and criminals. I love the Raider fan base, for the most part. I despise JT the Brick. I'm amused by some of the comments we get on this site. But I have no problem with Raider Nation itself.

    I'm annoyed by the costumes, but like you said, that's a minority. I'm a little confused by the blind support for Al Davis, but that's not really my business. As a fan of another AFC team, I'd much rather he remain in control anyway.

    If every Raider comment was as educated and well thought out as what you left on my board, then I wouldn't have any issues at all. But look at the comments from my Raider column. If they're not all 12 year olds, they should be ashamed of themselves.

    But they are entertaining....

    Thanks for taking the time to write back. Hopefully you'll give some of my non-Raider columns a shot!
