About

Matt is a veteran writer from some of the earliest days of BR, and his articles span his sports interests from baseball to tennis to his unapologetically beloved Fighting Irish football.

He writes what he knows with an honest and creative style that doesn't take itself too seriously, but without the fluff that weakens too much contemporary sportswriting. He assumes that his audience can operate above the lowest common denominator and appreciates similarly candid, sincere feedback.

His favorite place to watch a baseball game is in the bleachers in Wrigley, with the goal to see every Major League Baseball team play in their home stadium; the count is currently at 13 and still going.

    Hey Matt,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Matt!
