In my younger years I was always looking something that I did well, sports was not one of them because of health issues, but because I couldn't do it that made me more interested in it. I combined one hobby, photography, with my passion for sports and started as a photo journalist.
Heading out to a race to shoot pictures the editor told me to also write the article for him. Since the early 1970's I was enamoured with writing as well, my catalyst for this was of course that immortal writer, John Boy Walton. Leading me to that often asked question, "What would John Boy do?", so I took the assignment and enjoyed it. Since then I have been a motorsports journalist of some sort of another since 1984.
I also have opinions of my other sports passions, football, both college and NFL as well.
When not writing I enjoy time with my son Robby, baking breads, playing chess and travel.
