Grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, where I went to high school at O'Gorman HS (with Thomas Vanek!). I graduated in 2001, and joined the US Navy that July as a nuclear reactor operator for ballistic missile submarines. After 7 years active duty, I left to attend college at the University of South Dakota where I majored in Classical History (focusing largely on Roman and Greek history, though with Egyptian and Renaissance history as well). After graduating with honors last month I began my current job as a Correctional Officer.

I plan on applying to the US Marshals and the FBI, either of which I would consider my life's achievement.
