Christopher's Bio
Avid cricket enthusiast, love all sports actually - golf, tennis, formula one, rugby, to name a few.. Love writing, arguing and talking about and playing the ancient game of cricket, it's so complex and interesting that one could never truly stop learning about it. My favourite teams are firstly and most abviously the Proteas (South Africa) and secondly Australia, as the Aussies are our greatest rivals, the best team in the world, and have produced some of the greatest players in the world, they are great sportsmen and and I have great envy and respect for them. I believe I can say the same thing about the Proteas. Can't stand any English team.
Cheers

Hey Chris,
Just checked out of the comment you were referring too...
As an American I'm not too familiar with the game of cricket. Would you mind explaining why Jon's comment is racist (aka a violation of our Terms of Use)?
He has the right to disagree with you, but as I'm sure you know racist comments are not tolerated on B/R. Let me know further thoughts.
Thanks for your contributions,
Zander

Wow I didn't know there were so many New Zealand teams!!
What about the White Sticks, the Black Cocks, The White Blacks, The Small Blacks, the Side Backs,
the White Socks, and the Big Bollocks.. aren't they also New Zealand teams?

You should specify which New Zealand team is your Favorite as we have many sports teams and many different names.
We have the Black Caps, Silver Ferns, All Blacks, Tall Blacks, Black Sticks, All Whites, Black Socks, Black Ferns.........just to name a few.
Wikipedia has the full list, follow the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_in_New_Zealand
So please be specific when naming and listing sports teams from other countries so other people know who or what you are referring to!

I'm glad someone else is is the same boat as me, the boat being unable to stand any English cricket team (no offence Jon).
- Do you think English teams need to get rid of their eurocentric vision and get a wake up call as well?

Hi Christopher,
Nice to see a passionate fan coming into the mix on BR, particularly in the cricket section.
If you haven't seen it yet, we've just started doing a series of articles called the 'round table', where we ask several writers their opinion on a particular subject. I'm looking to do it weekly and will probably send the next question out on Sunday.
If you're interested, you can send an email to bleacherreportcricket@gmail.com snd I'll put you on the mailing list for this.
Thanks for all you contributions so far - and in particular the pick for my latest article!
Jon
