Born in St. Louis Missouri, my father a former Cinncinati Red, who became football coach at the largest High School in the State at that Lindberg. We moved to Southwest Missouri in the late 1970's where my father was on the first coaching staff at Evangel University. Graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, went on to play College Quarterback at Kansas. Only a couple of months into my freshmen year I was diagnosed with cancer and returned home for treatment. In January of 1991 I walked on to play Baseball at Southwest Baptist University. Had a wonderful 4 year career there being named all-conference and all-region while a player. After graduation became a High School administrator at a small school and married Vicki Anderson who has been the High School Track Coach and a Marathon runner for 20 years. In 2006 after being forced out of my position when it was discovered the Ten Commandments hung in the School cafeteria I took a role as a Physical Education Instructor for Handicap children in 14 school districts in my area. Always a sports fan, and a wonderful connection to many coaches in the area I launched Scoreboard Guy LLC, a website dedicated to High School student athletes in Missouri. 6 years later I cover more than 250 High Schools in Missouri, with radio, TV and web.
