Hey, my name is Sam Blum. I am a huge sports fan, and a passionate writer. My favorite team to watch and root for is the New York Mets, as insane as it sounds. I am also a big Knicks and Jets fan. I love watching tennis, and I was fortunate enough to cover the U.S. Open in 2010 for the New York Press. In addition, I cover Columbia University Athletics for the West Side Spirit.     Hey Sam,

    Roger Federer was pushed to the limit in round 2 against Gilles Simon. I've deconstructed his performance and evaluated why Simon was able to get back into the game. If you get a chance, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
