I'm a Hawk fan currently living in the heart of Gopher country, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Despite being surrounded by maroon and gold, my love for the black and gold holds true. I received two degrees from the University of Iowa (a B.A. in English Literature and a J.D.) and spent eight glorious years there, cheering on the Hawks in many sports, but always most passionately in football.
I was there for the bad times (the 3-8 season in 2000, my first year there), the good times (the three straight 10-win seasons from 2002-2004, including two Big 10 titles), and everything in-between (like, say, these last three disappointing and mediocre years). But good, bad, or mediocre, there's nowhere I'd rather be on a Saturday in fall than Kinnick Stadium, cheering myself hoarse with 70,000 other black-and-gold-clad fans. Go Hawks!
