About

Hi everyone,

I'm Sander, a 21 year old university student from the Netherlands. I'm an all-around sports fan, and can appreciate the beauty and competitiveness of almost any sport. I therefore love pretty much everything, from football (the non-American kind) to cycling, skiing to basketball, boxing to biathlon. But out of all of those speed skating is my true passion, and the only sport I ever practiced at a reasonably high level. I also love big, international events like the Olympic Games, both summer and winter. The only sports I really don't care for are golf and cricket. Many people I know and respect have tried to convince me to get into both, but have failed miserably.

Either way, hope you enjoy my writing,

Sander

    Hi Sander,

I thought you might enjoy reading an Olympics story about how three ski jumpers going to Vancouver had to work jobs as ice cream sellers, dish washers, and grass cutters to afford to compete.
