J's Bio

Hello Fellow Sports Fans.

I am a 22 year old avid sports fan, currently living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, also known as Cow-town. When the weather is hot you can always find me outside having good times with my closest friends. Whether it s camping, fishing, drinking or partying, (you have not partied till you have spent 10 days in July at the Calgary Stampede) I am always enjoying the outdoors. My winter months are spent enjoying the season all bundled up outside enjoying the snow, or inside watching movies and hockey games. It doesn t matter what season it is I am always Up-To-Date on my favorite sports. I am completely obsessed with hockey. I'm always out watching the Calgary Hitmen, as well I attend a number of Calgary Flames games. Some other teams I enjoy are the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins. When I am not in the Pengrowth Saddledome watching the games, I am watching any sport I can find on the television. Other sports I enjoy are Football (NFL & CFL), Lacrosse (NLL), UFC, World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA), Professional Bull Riding (PBR), Rodeos. Other hobbies I have pertaining to sports, are playing football with friends as well as adding to my jersey collection. I currently own several different NHL jerseys, including a Vintage Oilers Wayne Gretzky and a signed Calgary Flames Craig Conroy Jersey. However, my biggest dream is to become a sports broadcaster and just maybe work somewhere within the NHL. I am hoping that writing for Bleacher Report, is a step in a long journey towards my dreams.

  1. Hey J,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend J!

    Zander

  2. I don't know about the All-Star game, people were really concerned with injuries yesterday and do you really want to concentrate all of your stars into one venue where it's possible to lose more than one of them? On the other hand the All-Star games would not carry near the intensity that yesterday's game would. Annually might be interesting to see too, you just need to find a venue that stays cold enough (which when you have a certain amount of teams from areas that are foreign to snow, that could be difficult).
