Becoming an avid sports fan at the age of five watching Ryan Giggs on tv, James has been a diehard United fan ever since. Whilst supporting the Red Devils, he reserves an immense hatred for Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea, which you'd never be able to tell when reading his work.
James sadly is from a family of Leeds United fans, who persistently try to convert him every time he goes to visit them. He hopes one day they will understand the joy he feels at being a United fan.
After leaving England ten years ago, he discovered a passion for writing, watching sports, attending Sens games, as well as an odd love for movies and theatre. He recently graduated with high Honours at Carleton University and intends to pursue careers in sports writing and acting.
He also follows other sports, namely hockey and American Football, and loves the Atlanta Falcons and Ottawa Senators.
He discovered Bleacher Report through cbssports.com, doing extra research for his fantasy football team, only to miss the playoffs for the third year running, and see his rookie father win the whole bloody thing with his help and guidance. He believes that his fantasy team, JS Cobras, is divinely linked to the success of the Houston Texans, a team who have never made the playoffs in their history either.
Having being named after a King of England and a successful tyrant (his middle name is Alexander), he believes he is destined for great things, and that the only way to achieve success is through persistence, sheer arrogance, individual genius and a little humility too!

My new piece, give it a try mate :)
I wrote personal messages to people at one point, but they were way too time consuming, almost as time consuming as the article I am going to shamelessly advertise now! I've done an article, which whilst being too long in my opinion, is one of my most entertaining articles yet (in my view again, haha). If you would be ever so kind as to actually give it a read, I'd be eternally grateful :)

Hey James,
The inevitable has happened... the UWCC title has gone to a team I have trouble spelling the name of in a league I know nothing about... at least I've heard of the team though, and they're well known throughout the world...
Roma lost the title to Panathinaikos last night in the Europa League, but it's not all bad news! The match was a thriller with three goals and a penalty in the last ten minutes, as well as a last minute winner from a familiar face!
It also contained a wonderful goal from Vucinic (see that highlights included for that screamer) and a substitue scoring with their first touch on two different occasions!
Also included in the article are Roma title reign stats, which stand up against the very best there has ever been!

The UWCC needs YOU!
Cheers,

Hey James,
It's a combination of comments, reads and likes. There's no minimum of each that it has to receive but as soon as the article heats up and you get a debate going, the article begins to traffic alot of views then it will find its way onto the main page.
It was a good article, I've got it on to the main page for now.
