Nah, don't see a swap happening. Certainly not with either of Kompany or De Jong involved. City need good defensive players and both mentioned are good so it'd be madness for them to let them go.

As for Xabi - it'll be Madrid for him if he does go. His value has gone up since last summer so we have missed out there.

P.S. On Benzema, if Arsenal sign him I would do a celebratory dance followed by another and another. He is a young player that I hugely admire and have for the last 2-3 seasons and he is still only 21. He would suit Arsenal's play perfectly and I think under AW's guidance could become a massive star. Sadly I don't see it happening but we can all dream :)

My personal opinion on Adebayor is that Wenger wants to keep Adebayor the player who on his day can be a real handful for defenders and offers Arsenal an option no-one else in the squad can.

However, his attitude stinks and he is proving disruptive to the club as a whole so I think Wenger claims to want to keep Adebayor is him merely trying to get as much money as he can so he can put the cash back into the team.

If Adebayor would put in the work and give it all for Arsenal, I personally wouldn't be adverse to seeing him at the club next season but sadly I don't see him changing his ways so the best thing for the player and club would be to offload him.
