I have always loved sports and writing about them from early on. I've always gone the extra mile. As a member of my high school newspaper I was the sports editor. I took some unusual steps--for a high school paper-- and created my own column, entitled Spencer's Speculations in which I previewed the upcoming Chicago Cubs season. I also conducted a Q & A style interview, not with a star high school athlete, but with Rick Monday of the Los Angeles Dodgers. I knew I had the talent and skill, I just never followed through.

Well, now it's time to follow through. Not only will I write stories that I hope enlighten, or at the very least entertain, I hope that they will go above and beyond what people expect to find on this website.
