  1. Hey Ron,

Check out my in depth analysis on the possible trading of Allen Iverson.

  2. Yesss. Go Gators!!

  3. Hey Ron

I have mostly stayed to the hockey section on this site, particularly the Toronto Maple Leafs section, where I am the community leader.

However, I am a huge wrestling fan, have been since birth. And I didn't even know this site had a wrestling section until I stumbled upon it accidentally.

Needless to say I was pretty impressed with the work you do covering it, I managed to recruit a guy form a forum I visit, and I want to inject some life into this section of the site.

And I know full well I can't do it without your help.

Eventually I want to get a wrestling publication started. I want to print it on newspaper, one because it would be cheaper than magazine paper, but also because it would have a classic dirt sheet feel to it.

Anyways, the publication is probably about a year away, and I want to build up this section, get a good stable of writers going so that when we start the publication, we can just get going right at it.

Anyways, what do you say? Between me, the guy I recruited, and yourself, we can really bring this thing back to life. The team we build can more than split the workload. I would like to do T.V. reports, PPV reports, as well as daily news, and of course columns.

So let me know what you think, and thanks for listening to this..lol

  4. Ron,

Just wanted to guage your interest, and I will be asking many other Bleacher Report NFL Writers...

How would you feel about taking part in a "way-too-early" 2008 NFL Season Predictions piece? It would be a 5 or 6 part article which would break down the schedules of each team, 4 weeks at a time, and try to predict their records after 4 games, 8 games, 12 games, 17 games and playoffs.

I'd like to get maybe 5 writers involved, so let me know if you're interested.

  5. Hey Ron,

View my analysis on the New Madden 09 and what I think of Favre in the cover, its pretty hilarious.

Maybe even Pick of the Day worthy. Remember vote for it.

    -Thanks

  6. Great pic on that NFL Rivalry selection....still can't believe Curry snagged that pass one handed!

  7. Thanks Ron—well it looks like there were some personal attacks...but now I can actually reprimand these guys!

  8. Ron,

200 columns—hard to believe...not that I ever doubted you. Congrats on the looming milestone.

I dig the Greatest Rivalries idea. In the spirit of defying conventional wisdom, I'm casting my vote with the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals. Probably a little more one-sided than most great rivalries—but you've got to give the Generals credit for hanging in there. Plus, everybody always leaves a Trotters/Gens game smiling. How many other rivalries can you say that about?

Something tells me I'm not going to get much support on this one...

  9. In the Grand Rapids area there are two major Christian colleges, Calvin College and Hope College. About 30 miles separate the two, and becuase they are the two major Christian colleges in the area, they compete in everything. The games are fun to watch in almost every sport, with different teams winning each year. A couple of years ago ESPN had a poll asking what the best college sports rivalry was, once of which listed was Calvin vs. Hope. Due to both colleges pushing people, they actually won the poll in a landslide. Great writing, and if you want to know any more just let me know.

  10. Ron, thanks for the add man.

I know you're huge college football fan, so check out my article "All-Time College Football Team: Safety" if you have not already. I should have the next one, "Cornerback," up by tomorrow or Wednesday.

  11. Hey Ron! Thanks for the add as a favorite writer!

  12. What do you mean very clever? If you remember this is my name!!!!!!!!!

  13. Ron,

There seems to be a lot of crazy Raider fans. The funny thing is that some guys was listing HOF players and three of them only played one year for Raiders...like Ronnie Lott, Eric Dickerson.

    Keep up the good work.

  14. By the way Ron. I have been reading some of the things you have said about The Ohio State. We will be having a talk soon about that. How many times have I told you don't poke the bear.

PS. You might have to add another topic to write about. I will be playing in event #3 of the WSOP this year. If I make the final table You will be able to watch me yell out "God Loves the Buckeyes" on ESPN. I will just have to out play roughly 2,192 players to make that happen.

  15. Hey Ron,
A friend here in Tucson Googled my name and it showed up in an article you wrote on Sept. 11th 2006. I just wanted to say Hi and always remember "GOD LOVES THE BUCKEYES". It does appear that he takes Monday nights off and he vacations in early January thou. If you also have any doubts about if this is me. Lets just say that you would not be holding that belt. If I still lived in Fort Collins and we played a game of QB1. Last piece of supporting argument is we will never again let the girls mess with the bet. That did not work out to well for us last time. So glad to see what you are up to. Shoot me an email at mbf12342000@yahoo.com.

    The One and True Champion.
