About J.J. »

I am a Floridian by birth and Gator by choice. I was born and raised in SW Florida, until I graduated high school and signed up to be a U.S. Marine. 11 1/2 years later, I am married to a Marine with 4 beautiful children and a house in Southern California. I am a house husband who has a lot of time on my hands due to my wife being deployed for the next 6-7 months.

I am a crazed Gator fan and don't know any better. I try to be as biased and realistic as I can, but the "Homer" in me beats me over the head and sometimes can be seen in my writing...apologies. I am deeply superstitious. I have to be decked out in Gator Gear and even socks when I am watching my Gators on TV. My wife knows trying to get me to do anything once a Gator game has started is like trying to get me to watch the 1996 Fiesta Bowl against Nebraska and Tommie Frazier, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

College football in my eyes is far superior to the NFL because every game counts and the young men are putting it all on the line every Saturday, be it for rivalries or the chance to get to the next level, they are hungry and that is what makes college football so much better than anything else.

P.S.

Yeah, that's me and Lawrence "Joey Kent's nightmare" Wright after the '07 Orange and Blue game.
