Hey man, you still around? I hear they keep messing up your profile so I hope you didn't get scared off.

    Hey Alex,

I'm not sure if you've heard, but the Portuguese media is linking Pizzi with a loan move to Sporting CP. Simeone reportedly doesn't rate Pizzi very highly and would prefer to see him loaned out again. I'm a little shocked with the news considering Pizzi's brilliant season for Depor.

    Hey there Alex

I was wondering if I could pick your brain a bit, regarding Iago Aspas?

As a Liverpool fan, Suarez's impending departure, Aspas' apparent transfer, and next season's prospects has my mind occupied. I've heard you might be a good person to ask about him and I'm sorely lacking in knowledge on Iago.

My understanding is that he occupies the center of the pitch really well, as both a finisher and a creator; but given the strong form that Sturridge and Coutinho exhibited in the center, at striker and CAM respectively, I thought Iago might be used elsewhere. Given Rodgers firm belief in the use of inverted wingers (Stewart Downing cutting in?!), I had thought that Iago might be utilized effectively on the right hand side of a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. I have heard his playstyle compared to Suarez's quite a bit, and I've always thought that provided the proper cover from a fullback and a talented DM, he could really wreak havoc playing both provider and finisher. I was wondering how well you think Aspas might operate starting out on the right? Ideally, of course he Coutinho, and whoever they place on the left could interchange positions throughout the match. Related to this idea, I was wondering what sort of workrate Aspas exhibits? Given the erratic performances we get from Lucas, I worry that a formation like this could become exposed if the attackers don't exhibit defensive responsibility.

Hi Alex! Wow, you changed profile a few times, huh? You made it hard to find you for me haha.

I just wanted to say congratulations on the Copa del Rey win! Your boys finished the season with as many trophies as Real Madrid and Barcelona. Diego Simeone now has more trophies in La Liga than Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini combined. Not a bad stat, albeit an incomplete one. ;-)

    Congrats again, amigo!

And Filipe Luis is an excellent full back. And out of curiousity, would you take Fernando Torres back at the Calderon? If not, what striker would you rather get in place of Falcao?

Thanks for the feedback Alex! Simeone has turned Atleti into a defensive stalwart. Godin and our former youth product Juanfran are very good. Arda Turan is marvelous. Diego Costa is a good forward, needs to control his temper though. And words cannot describe how deadly Falcao is in front of goal. Thibaut Courtois is a marvelous goalkeeper, when does his loan contract end by the way?

Best of luck and congrats on your UCL qualification. Best of luck to Spanish football. Nice to talk and Hala Madrid (for both teams lol)
