Collin's Bio

My name is Collin Whitchurch and I'm a 22-year old Journalism major at Eastern Illinois University. I am the assistant sports editor of EIU's daily student newspaper, the Daily Eastern News. I'm an avid follower of almost anything sports. The sport I'm most passionate about is baseball and I follow the Chicago White Sox like some people follow the gospel. I also passionately hate the Chicago Cubs (stemming from having a father who is a St. Louis Cardinals fan). In other sports I am a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks. Don't ask my why I follow all Chicago teams except football, because I can't really make sense of it. I am a fan of University of Illinois football and University of Illinois and Marquette University basketball.

Sports are my passion. I live them, breathe them, and my knowledge of the sports that I follow I plan to use to succeed in the world beyond college. I enjoy talking and debating sports with anyone who wishes to.

  1. Hey Collin,

Ryan Zimmerman’s hit streak halted at 30 games last night. As one streak ends, another is admired. Read about how Joe DiMaggio forever redefined ’56,’ and how his feat may never be broken. It is a record that thankfully cannot be broken through steroid use, and represents all that was once right in a game that has since gone so wrong.

    Thanks in advance!

Just shoot me an email by Tuesday afternoon at BleacherPowerRankings@gmail.com with the list of 32 teams in order from best to worst. If you want to add commentary, that'd be great and i'll try to include it in the final version.

    Thanks!
